INDIVIDUAL SERVICES
PRENATAL 1:1 CONSULT
(90 MINUTES)
Personal prenatal consults are wonderful for families who want to establish care with a lactation consultant prior to delivering, as well as those who are high risk for feeding challenges (e.g., risk for preterm labor, complications that may indicate NICU stay, history of infertility or complex maternal medical history). These visits are customized to the individual and geared toward protecting breastfeeding goals.
FEEDING EVALUATION
(120 MINUTES)
We complete a thorough review of infant + birthing parent's medical/birth history, developmental, and feeding history, conduct a whole body infant assessment, oral assessment, feeding analysis (at breast, bottle, solids). Following assessment we will discuss findings, collaboratively develop a plan that aligns with family goals, and work together to implement the plan during and between sessions.
**For breastfeeding dyads we also provide lactation support, which may include support for managing milk supply, pumping, breast health, and develop a feeding plan based on weighted feeds and infant nutritional needs.
FEEDING THERAPY
(60 MINUTES)
Therapy sessions involve ongoing assessment of feeding skills, response to intervention, upgrading and modifying the home exercise plan as appropriate. For older infants and toddlers, we work through play. Sessions may involve big body movements, food exploration, sensory activities, mouth play, breathwork, and snack time. All goals are parent/family driven, with emphasis on holistic, full body therapy, responsive feeding, playful child engagement, and parent coaching. Sessions may be scheduled weekly or every other week.
VIRTUAL FAMILY SUPPORT
Virtual support is available to families outside the Kitsap County area. This is not direct therapy, but rather parent coaching. We work collaboratively to give you the confidence to feed your babies and support oral development. Whether you want guidance on building a team to address tethered oral tissues, implementing baby led weaning, need help getting your toddler out of a food rut, or have concerns for mouth breathing--we provide evidence-based guidance.
